We were delighted to work with ABA again, this time on a smaller project. No matter how big or small, ABA continues to provide excellent service. The personnel are friendly, communicate well, respectful of owner’s property, and great at what they do. We were notified about costs, timelines, any potential delays, when to expect work in and around the house, and a weekly check-in. All of this makes the remodeling much easier. And the finished work has always been excellent. We recommend them to all our friends who ask.
Aaron and Mike from ABA were wonderful to work with. They helped to plan and coordinate the construction of a new paver patio area in our backyard as well as providing external carpentry repairs, painting, and the ordering and installation of new storm windows. We live in an historic preservation district, and the team at ABA took care of all permits and interactions with the preservation board. We really appreciated not having to deal with this ourselves.

The first draft of the contract did come in higher than the concept estimates, which was disappointing. I don’t know how common this is, but I would note to friends that that may happen. The concern is that we chose a general contractor with certain numbers in mind. However, Melinda and crew worked hard to reduce costs to better match our budget.

My concerns involved keeping the disruption to my home to a minimum. ABA let me know when they would be working each day. They kept the non-work sites clean and dust free. They asked for input when necessary and welcomed questions. ABA is the most professional building company we ever worked with. We hired them initially for a very small project and just finished our third interaction, a complete master bathroom/closet remodel. The 7 weeks work went as scheduled, everything was protected and cleaned everyday, sometimes not a trace of their work. End product is 100% within our expectations, thanks to the efficient preliminary creation and planing phases. Kudos to the nice 3D graphics. The execution was smoother than anticipated, and the local crew did an outstanding job in keeping the work area protected and clean. Casey, the local project manager, did a great job in supervising the contractors, paying attention to details, establishing communication, anticipating/solving problems always in a courteous and professional manner. Any home remodel project can be challenging for home-owners, especially if the project impacts an important living area like a kitchen and they plan to stay in their home throughout the project. ABA made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. Our Project Manager was always professional and considerate of our needs – especially regarding the disruption of daily life in a construction zone. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Any concerns were both anticipated and already taken care of before we could mention them, or were handled quickly. ABA uses reliable sub-contractors with whom they have long-standing relationships and trust to perform quality work. Our architect was always available and willing to give stylistic advice on any detail or aspect of design right up until the last day of the project.
