Feasibility Consultation and the Conceptual Design Phases
From our Winter 2023 Newsletter
As part of Architectural Building Arts’ Proven Process, in the last edition, we focused on the Feasibility Consultation and the Conceptual Design steps.
In this edition, we’ll shine a light on the Schematic Design phase of the process.
In the Schematic Design phase, the designer synthesizes ideas presented in the concept phase into a single plan, focusing on design details and product specifications.
Key aspects of this phase include a defined scope, refined estimate, and commitment contract to secure your place in our production schedule.
If there are zoning requirements, our team generally begins the process for approval after the commitment contract is signed.

Design Trends: The Elegant Choice of Copper
LOOKING FOR A STYLISH UPGRADE?
Let the elegance of copper bring lasting beauty!
From adding a new gutter and downspout system to a roof in stunning copper, these features will certainly make a statement!
Over time, as the copper oxide reacts with carbon dioxide and water in the air it coats the surface with that iconic blue-green patina color.

Beyond its beauty, copper roofing is highly resistant to thermal changes and doesn’t deteriorate quickly, and is considered a lifetime material.
It’s also one of the most fireproof materials available and is more resistant to damage by rainfall, hail, and mildew than other types of roofing.
